Alas, Alack

Alack, alas, I have been feeling so lethargic for the past week. I do have a pretty rough cold but it's seriously like I don't want to do anything at all but sleep and drink tea. Why are classes and commitments getting in the way of lazy time? Don't they know I'm sick? They should reschedule MT auditions because I am not fully prepared at this point... right

Shall I Look on Desiring

Figaro rehearsals are now in full swing. I realized yesterday that the show goes up in like 4 weeks, meaning school ends in 6 weeks, musical theatre certificate auditions are in 2 weeks, and tomorrow is our spring formal. Holy moly Rocky. Tomorrow I shall also be solo stage managing for rehearsal because our head stage manager is gone at her brother's graduation. Ah! Responsibility! But also, good news after the horror that was last week- both tests paid off. I am now okay with the anti-sleep that was last week. The bad thing is now I've come down with a cold, and have been taking so many different kinds of medicine in order to get healthy healthy healthy so I can practice for MT. Shmer.
Anyway bought this new dress the other day, loving the whole back-cut-outs thing that's happening.

My latest mission has been looking for the perfect pair of casual summer heels, and I think I finally found some that were pretty close. However, for a student that is currently going to be jobless over the summer, they are a little out of my price range. So sad. But a girl can dream.

Green Thumb

Last week was SO rough, but now this weekend has been really nice and relaxing. Next week is just regular and I'm relishing the lack of exams/papers. Today I slept until 1 and lounged and did homework and 'twas awesome. Sleeping rules so hard. I think tonight my friend Alex and I are gonna watch some Dead Files, or maybe Celebrity Ghost Stories. Either way, it's gonna be good.

Busy Bee

Gah I've already gotten out of the habit of posting, but I shall work on that. This week has been a little crazy, but looking ahead at my schedule I don't really see it letting up anytime soon- oh well.
Yesterday I had almost every minute scheduled: wake up, class, homework, voice, homework, class, dinner, zumba, Little Prince, prod meeting, home at 11:30. I also realized that I hadn't watched tv since I was home last weekend for Easter because I've been trying to be a diligent student... alas it seems to not entirely be paying off, as I just got two assignments back that I was decently confident about and did not go as well as I expected. Today I had my General Communications class, aka Voice for Performance. We spent 20 minutes saying the word bank. What? 

Anyway... I have a lot of work to do today because I'M GOING HOME TOMORROW and I don't want to do it over the weekend. lalala so excited except I keep thinking that today is Thursday and then it's not. To celebrate going to class all morning, I got back and took a nap until perf sem- productive use of time, yes? Now I am finding all ways possible to put off going to a coffeeshop and working.

Yesterday was GORGEOUS I was able to go sans coat for the morning.

But then it got chillier in the afternoon; still I got to wear da TRENCH.

Lovin' the stripes over the past couple days apparently. Gotta get back to those nautical, summer lake roots!
